Dua For Iftar: Prayers When Breaking The Fast

Dua For Iftar: Prayers When Breaking The Fast

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Marwan ibn Salim al-Muqaffa said: I saw Ibn Umar holding his bread with his hand and cutting what exceeded the handful of it. He(Ibn Umar) told that the Prophet SAW said when he broke his fast(Time of Iftar): Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills.

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills.

Narrated Muadh ibn Zuhrah: The Prophet of Allah SAW used to say when he broke his fast: O Allah, for Thee I have fasted, and with Thy provision I have broken my fast.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ

O Allah, for Thee I have fasted, and with Thy provision I have broken my fast.
