Salat ul Janaza | Namaz e Janaza | Funeral Prayer
The Salat ul Janaza is performed standing without bowing(Ruko) or prostration(Sajod). It has four Takbirs. After the first Takbir (Allah Hu Akbar), Sana is recited. After the second Takbir, the Durood-e-Ibrahimi that we recite in Salah is recited. After the third Takbir, the supplications for the forgiveness of the deceased that are narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are recited. And after the fourth takbir, the salaam(Assalam o Alaikum Warah-Ma-Tul-Allah).
First Takbir
اَللّٰہُ اَكْبَرُ
سُبْحٰنَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِـحَمْدِكَ وَتَـبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَـعَالٰي جَدُّكَوَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُکَ وَلَا اِلٰـہَ غَیْرُکَ
Second Takbir
اَللّٰہُ اَكْبَرُ
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَليٰٓ اٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّــيْتَ عَليٰٓ اِبْـرَاهِيْمَ وَ عَليٰٓ اٰلِ اِبْـرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّـجِيْدٌ اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلىٰ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَليٰٓ اٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَليٰٓ اِبْـرَاهِيْمَ وَ عَليٰٓ اٰلِ اِبْـرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّـجِيْدٌ.
Third Takbir
اَللّٰہُ اَكْبَرُ
Dua, If Adult, Men and Women
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَاۗئِـبِنَا وَصَغِيْرِنَا وَكَبِيْرِنَا وَذَكَرِنَا وَاُنْـثَانَا، اَللّٰهُمَّ مَنْ اَحْيَـيْتَهٗ مِنَّا فَاَحْيِهٖ عَلَى الْاِسْلَامِ وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهٗ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهٗ عَلَى الْاِيْـمَانِ، اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تَـحْرِمْنَا اَجْرَهٗ وَلَا تُضِلَّـنَا بَعْدَہٗ۔
Dua, Child, Male
اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْہُ لَنَا فَرَطًا وَّاجْعَلْہُ لَنَا اَجْرًا وَّذُخْرًا وَّاجْعَلْہُ لَنَا شَافِعًا وَّمُشَفَّعًا
Dua, Child, Female
اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْہا لَنَا فَرَطًا وَّاجْعَلْہا لَنَا اَجْرًا وَّذُخْرًا وَّاجْعَلْہا لَنَا شَافِعَۃً وَّمُشَفَّعَۃً
Fourth Takbir
اَللّٰہُ اَكْبَرُ
Salam Both Side Right and Left
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْکُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ
